Raw.

We did it, we went raw! We have been gifted our first gallon. We intended on making the full time switch, buying weekly.  At least until I can talk Josh into a mini jersey cow :).  If you have not tried raw cow milk, you are missing out! It is fantastic! Also, wonderfully healthy!

This picture is when we let it separate to make butter.  I have plans on making cheese soon, never in a million years thought I would be making cheese! Lindsay, in high school, did you peg me as a raw milk drinking, cheese making, homeschooling, mom of many?
We also made butter! Kids loved it!

Yes, I have reached the offical crunchy granola status....;)

Proud wife moment!!

Love this post on Facebook, no it wasn't by me :). I cropped it to protect the poster.  I have been beyond blessed, married up for sure! He his my priest, provider, and protector! I couldn't dream of better!

Early morning thoughts....

It's all coming together, we are where we have dreamed and prayed of being. When we moved to tiny town people thought we were nuts.  A few times, okay 47, we have agreed. We have moved away once, just to move back.  Several times we have entertained the idea of moving.  Most recent, we even applied for jobs elsewhere.  Josh immediately received call backs, interviews, and such.  We were tierd and done. A few months or so in we prayed a very simple prayer together, "God open the doors that need to be open, close the rest."  Honestly hoping we would still move.  We went from receiving 3~5 leads on Jobs a day to zero.  That instant.  Josh had even had an interview on site very promising, they never called him back. God made it very clear, yet again this is where we are called.
We bought a house, took the plunge.  It is a fantastic cottage with a ton of character.  Yellow with ivy.  Perfect.  If I told your the square footage, you would be shocked at how small.  It's cool we love each other, and have plans to expand at some point.   The most amazing news however, is that we were asked to be Children's Pastors! We are thrilled.  We are so thankful.  This fall we will have lived here 6 years.  We have made some huge mistakes in that 6 years, spiritually, personally, and such.  However, we have ultimately been beyond blessed.
Feeling content, blessed, humbled, thankful, amazed, and the list goes on.

Eight, eight eggs.

That is all. I really can count. And now you are all very worried about me homeschooling.   In my defense, Josh said there were seven. The guy gave us an extra. Josh didn't mention it & I didn't notice. Ha!!
In other news we are down to five, three were rotten. I'll spare you the details!

Love these two!

JJosh took the night shift in hopes of Wynn learning that nursing is not a requirement to sleep! We are giving night weaning a go...I love exclusively breast feeding, I love co sleeping, but I've hit a wall. At 10 months I need sleep! Wish us well on this adventure!

Not your typical eight year old...

EJ wants a hair cut like Amelia Earhart. Love her.
