Reading Bench...

When I was expecting Guice we purchased a co-sleeper, as you know it was never really used. Guice slept in it a couple of times but it (in my opinion) is just a glorified bassinet. It was/is so much easier (not to mention sweeter) to have him in bed with us especially while breastfeeding. The good news is that the co-sleeper can transition to a reading bench. Josh put it together for EJ & G a couple of days ago and we cannot get them off of it. EJ loves being able to "read" stories to Guice. She now does one of two things. She has some pages memorized and will recite them to him or looks at the picture and will tell a short story about what she sees.
sweet sibling moments (they are few and far between;)...

This That & Something Else!

I know I just did one of these post but so much is going on! The kiddo's seem to be changing everyday, I love being home with them to see it (most days:)).
*EJ is really independent but thinking back I do not remember her ever being very dependent. Her most used phrase is "I will do it myself!"
*Guice is not eating that much at all. I think his record is 3 green beans. He holds his food in his mouth forever. When I take him for his 9 month checkup we will evaluate the need for therapy.
*Emery Jai's favorite (only) movie is Barnyard.
*She is very into colors and what color she likes and what she doesn't. This leads to problems, she doesn't want a red sippy cup she wants a blue one so on and so forth, it is endless.
*It will be a miracle if Guice has any fingers left when he reaches one. He smashes them in everything! Guice is so tough he almost never cries.
*Josh and I have both lost 5 lbs and most importantly are eating so much healthier. We are now getting at least the minimum of recommended fruits and vegetables, a huge change for us. We are still struggling with finding time to exercise, but who doesn't?
*Guice is having serious sleep issues, much more serious for his mommy than for him:). He wants to nurse all night! When I unlatch him he might sleep for an hour or so then he is crying!
*Emery Jai will prompt you to say your welcome after she says thank you! She is very much Miss Manners!
*When you get off the phone with someone EJ will ask "What did they have to say?"

Poor Poor Sampson...

Poor Sampson gets recruited to play dress up quite often! We had to promise not to tell the other dogs in the neighborhood;). It won't be long until Guice is old enough to play boy games with him that should even it out a bit!
Getting it just right!
Hold still Sampson! I think pink is his color!
She bribes him with a granola bar!

sorry chris:)

Diggin' In The Dirt!

Our favorite part of the house is the backyard, by far! It so nice for the kids to have a place to play. Before we always had to get packed up and drive to a park, now we just walk outside!
It took two pics to get everyone looking and smiling!
Josh and EJ in the first & G in the second!

INTO EVERYTHING!

Remind me again why I wanted Guice up and going:)? With Guice participating in the destruction of the house my work load has doubled. I am certainly not complaining, I would not change it for the world!!
Check out the mess behind him (and those baby blues)!
Getting toys out!
