Gymboree!

Today was Emery Jai's first day at Gymboree class! She had a blast. Josh took her, I am a little sad I did not go. He said she had so much fun. When I asked how she did his exact response was "She didn't bite or hit anyone, she did great!" Yes, I realize how sad it is we evaluate her behavior on that kind of scale. But have you met her? It is necessary! All kidding aside she did do very well. Emery Jai will go to 4 classes a week. The classes last an hour. We decided not to send her to pre-school/Mom's Day Out this year. I got very nervous about her going and changed my mind. I was worried that she might not do well in that type of structured setting just yet. I know this probably has a lot more to do with me not being ready than her. Our plan is to take her to Gymboree for a year, and then she will start pre-school next year.

Emery Jai's Favorite Place!

Emery Jai's favorite place in Nashville is the Opry Mills Mall, hands down. She wants to go everyday. There are two main reasons. First, Bass Pro Shop Emery loves the bears and other stuffed animals. She talks about the bears a lot. E.J. has a favorite bear, she calls him the Tennessee bear. She holds her hands up like his paws and roars. It is cute. Second reason is the carousel. She has to ride the Mimis every vist. She gets to ride it twice. Emery Jai has to get off her horse after the first ride or it doesn't count as two rides. She also has to have a horse that goes up and down. The other perks she like at the mall are Annie's Pretzels and the Aquarium restaurant. The restaurant is unbelievable. Anyway, we went to the mall to see the Tennessee bear and ride the Mimi's, we had a good time.
It did start out a little rocky. Emery Jai had a complete break down, screaming and kicking. We could not figure out what was going on, we almost left it was so bad. I set her down on the ground to see if she wanted to walk, I thought that might have been the problem. That wasn't the problem, the problem was that her shoes were hurting her feet! As soon as I sat her down she grabbed her feet. We took her shoes off and she was great, she quit crying immediately. Talk about feeling like a crappy mom! So needless to say E.J. got new shoes, they are very cute brown and pink! Her feet grow so fast. We just purchased shoes for her, but her feet had gone up an entire size! She was fantastic the rest of the day.

Too Cute!

This pic was just too cute not to share!
It just makes me smile!

We Miss NeNa & Pop!

Emery Jai and Guice miss their Grandparents terribly! Emery has been talking in her sleep about Kit Kat and the Mimi's! Guice hasn't really said that much about it but I know he is missing them.
Their onesies say "Grandma Loves Me". It is a little difficult to find clothing with NeNa on it!

Visiting With The Family!

We had such a great time in Arkansas. It was so much fun for everyone to meet Guice and see how big Emery Jai has gotten. I was nervous about such a long trip for such a little baby, but he did great and I am so very glad we went. Guice loved meeting all of his friends and family. I was a little worried that E.J. would feel left out or over-shadowed, not the case at all. Emery was the star of the show! I ended up feeling a little sad for Guice :). I am glad to be back in Nashville with Josh, but sad to be so far away from our family. Pop & NeNa our coming in September. We will not be back to AR. until October, it seems very far away. Guice will be HUGE by then and Emery Jai will be doing no telling what! We can not wait to see everyone, again! Of course everyone is more than welcome to come to Nashville for a visit!

So Cute!

When Josh came to visit we took the kids to see some of our friends. These pics are from that day. I don't think I am being too partial when I say they are so cute!

Look at those cheeks!

Mimi's!

Emery Jai loves loves loves her Mimi's! At this visit to Arkansas Pop let her feed the Mimi's bread! Emery Jai thinks its the best thing. Every morning it is the first thing she wants to do. She usually fed them once a day. She would get 4-5 slices of bread to feed to them, E.J. nibbled the bread all the way to the Mimis. Emery Jai pinches off parts of the bread then hands it to who is helping her, they actually feed it to the horses. E.J. has "accidentally" fed it to them a couple of times, I am thankful she still has all 10 fingers. She is not scared at all, she will walk right up to the horses. She is fearless!
