I have said from the start that I would not stop going places just because I have two kids. When it was just me and Emery Jai we would go places all of the time. We went shopping, out to eat, just wherever whenever. E.J. is very use to that kind of pace. Even though I stayed at home with her we did very little staying at home. Now Emery Jai wants to go go go all of the time. I manage to get out with just the 3 of us but not nearly as much as Emery Jai would like. I have to admit it is completely different with two babies. Case in point today. I have to plan all day just to get us out of the door. By the time we are in the car I am already exhausted! This was the second day in a row, we are shoe shopping E.J. AGAIN. We were headed for Emery's favorite mall. She was going to get to see the Mimis and the bear! We get to the mall I get Guice in the sling. He is immediately starving! I then turn him around so he can nurse in the sling. This puts Emery Jai in a mood, she does not like him breastfeeding. Emery refuses to ride in her stroller. She is a big girl and will walk thanks, she tells me in those words. Have I mentioned she is talking in broken sentences? It makes her mad that I go ahead and take the stroller even if she is not going to ride in it. We get to the shoe store and I ask a lady to measure her foot. Emery Jai says in very plain English "toe hurt, new shoe". Then E.J. precedes to point out the blisters on her big toes. I am so embarrassed! The lady measuring her foot looks at me like I am crazy. She then ask Emery if she is getting new shoes. Not if she is looking for but getting, Emery Jai knows the difference. Emery Jai says "yes new shoes". Well long story short we did not find her size. I had to put her old shoes on her while she was screaming "shoes hurt toe" "new shoe new shoe". I tried to explain we were looking for new shoes, Emery Jai 's response was "buy shoe"! All of the fit throwing must have made Emery Jai hungry because after about 3 min. of super loud and annoying screaming, She announced she needed a snack. I thought that this would sounded like a splendid idea and might put her in a better mood. We went to Johnny Rockets, Emery Jai loves it because they play loud music and dance! Today we got really lucky because the guy next to us was covered in tattoos, Emery Jai loves Tatts! As soon as we sat down she started screaming. I could not reason with her! The sever brought our snacks out very fast, I guess that is one way to get fast service. As soon as the food hit the table she was happy! Guice decide he needed to eat also. I had to have both hands/arms free to help Emery. It is a very good thing I have mastered hands free nursing, yes I am completely serious! Emery Jai smiled and talked to the staff she ended up with a free milkshake. When I took her to the restroom she started screaming again when we walked out I could not tell if people were looking at me like did you whip her or why are you not whipping her! Emery Jai knows how to draw attention she started smiling and waving at all of the people who were staring. Emery did get to ride the horses. She got upset during the ride because I would not let her switch horses, hers was slow. That just about sums up our trip today, exciting huh?
