Miss~Behaving!

Emery Jai has been in a lot of trouble as of lately! Josh and I contribute the bad behavior to the arrival of her brother, but I am starting to come to the conclusion it is just her. I have to give her credit, she is very smart. Her behavior is well calculated in addition to being incredibly naughty. For example, I allow her to play with the pots, pans, and lids she loves it. The other day when I requested that she put them back she said no. I told here again to put the pots up, I then went into the living room. A few seconds later I returned to find my child had tee teed all over the pots and pans! I did not know if I should laugh or cry! I thought about calling Nanny 911. She went into time out for a very long time. She is still refusing to pick up after herself. I have tried making a game of it, singing songs, you name it I have tried it. I put her in to time out while I pick them up, she claps for me and says thank you when I am done. She is now moving all of the pots and pans to the couch. Emery has moved all of her books to the bathroom, the stuffed animals to the kitchen, you get the picture. She is doing just to make me pick stuff up! She is a mess! And I know what your thinking but spanking would not work. We have spatted her hand, she will continue what she is doing regardless. She could be crying so hard she can not breath and she will go right back to doing it. We prefer to use a reward system for good behavior and down play the negative behavior as much as possible, but this child makes it almost impossible. I have to say that I admire her persistence and that she is so very independent and very strong willed. Those qualities will serve her well in her adult life, and I think that is what matters most.
Helping Daddy with the computer!

Pots & Pans They were off limits for 2 days so she is very excited to play with them again!
