8 months!!

Wynn Herring is at one ( truth be told I have enjoyed every stage ;)) my favorite stages! All smiles! He loves to nurse! Is exclusively breast fed. He does nibble food here and there, but Mommas milk is his food of choice! He says momma! It's the cutest!  Wynn isn't the greatest sleeper, trying a few things & praying for improvement in that area. We co sleep which I love, but I must have better rest. He took a binkie for a couple of glorious weeks but has now decided against it. Boo. He isn't crawling officially, but very soon! No teeth either, which is fine by me! Lol!!

Grow....please;)!!

Easter!

Just a few snapshots from our Easter! We changed a few things up this year, no baskets or hunting eggs. Josh & I prayed about it and decided against it for our family...

What Emery Jai wants....

Emery Jai gets!
Coming soon we will be adding to the family!

We're country.....

And we like it that way ;)

Wynn might never crawl....

Wynn is a huge fan of being held. When, on rare occasion, he is put down it looks something like this.

And then after maybe 30 seconds he is rescued
 Whew, that was close....

Emery Jai

Emery Jai is amazing. Josh and I are in awe of her daily. So blessed God chose us to be her parents!

This face....

Wynn the giant.

Wynn sitting in the lap of Parker.  Parker is two and a half!

Sick little guy...

This guy had a rough weekend. He was a sick little guy! He did not get put down for three days. He was pitiful! Normally such a happy little guy, not seeing him smile was hard on this momma! Wynn & I didn't go to church yesterday, a day of spoiling seemed to do te trick! So glad he is back to his healthy happy self!

Settling in.

Six months into homeschooling and I *think* we have hit our stride. We have settled into a schedule that, for now, is working very well for us. We do curriculum Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. Wednesday is "free" day. The kiddos explore their area of interest.  We have also opted to school year round. We are LOVING it! I am so very grateful for this time to pour into my children! I can not put into words what a blessing homeschooling has been to our family! There are days I want to run for the hills screaming, but more days than not I am overwhelmed by pure JOY.  Our kiddos are learning so much about the word, I love that about HOD. I have supplemented a bit here and there with workbooks I found on Zulily. The thing I loved most about HOD is the very thing I needed to modify.  HOD does not have "busy" work. It is a classical approach to education, I have come to accept some days you need your kids to have a worksheet or seven.  Our homeschool is still evolving and changing!

Bed sharing at it's best.

You know you're a SAHM homeschooling mom to many when....

You get a call to work two half days at the psych ward and you get so excited you almost cry:)!! I have been PRN at Senior Behavioral Health for 4 years, I love it! I do not work very much, but love it when I do!

One I the top 15 coolest things I've ever done....

Taught my kid to read! Feeling pretty much like a rock star about now :)!
Oh the 20 easy lessons are about 15-25 pages each:)! It's the curriculum that HOD suggested, it worked super well for us.  No sight words all phonics! So very proud of Boo and all his hard work! He is very excited to be able to read and read well!  Have I mentioned how much I love homeschool? I have? Well, it is worth repeating! Love, love, love!!

Binky baby!

And loving it! Wynn is our first bambino to take one, I am a huge fan so far. Day three.
Sweetest chubalub!!

So so close!!!

Wynn is rocking back and forth on his knees!! I hope he takes his sweet time, not ready for my baby to be mobile! The older kiddos pulled out the exercise mats so he wouldn't get hurt on the hard floor, Wynn is much loved!!

And never mind my hideous pj pants....yikes.

I heart homeschool

One year ago today!

A year ago today God gave us this little man! Praise God he has come so far in a year! We are so thankful for what God has done in his life! We are humbled to be his parents. Josh and I do not know how long he will be in our home, we rest in the knowledge that Dawson's days are ordained by Christ & all things work together for HIS good! Please pray for his continued healing! God is good!
